From
the mind of Jimmy Franklin
comes... The Knight Wing Waco JMF-8 "DRACULA" Conceived
by Jimmy Franklin more than 20 years ago, this 80% scale version of
Jimmy's original Waco "Mystery Ship" started to come to life
on December 4, 2003. With new ideas and designs, this craft will strike
terror into all those who challenge it. Weighing in at only 1850lbs.,
and powered by a monster 550 horse power R-985 with new electrinic fuel
injection and mags. Capable of over 15 positive and 15 negitive "G"s,
this creature will have the look and sound of the 1930s but be able
to keep up and out perform modern Pitt Specials and Mono planes. This
plane is being built strictly for airshows and possibly aerobatic competition.
The JMF-8 is being built by long-time friend and master welder Chuck
Krabbenhoft. We are planning on completion in late 2008. The Knight
Wing Waco dubbed "DRACULA" will be flown by none other than
Jimmy's son, Kyle Franklin, who was the only other person to fly the
legendary
By
the way, "Dracula" has been built with hard mounts for a jet
engine. |
